The Saint Andrew Society of The Central Coast is about a lot more than fellowship and good times, although there's plenty of either. It celebrates and commemorates those things, Scots and Celtic which have brought us our freedoms since the Declaration of Arbroath Abbey. We work with the Clans and organizations of the Scottish community in the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo areas as well as in the Los Angeles area, Without the active support of the Clans Scottish Societies, and the California Scottish communities the Los Angeles and The Central CoastSaint Andrew Societies would not have been able to promote the design and adoption of the California State District tartan. There are bigger challenges on the horizon; removal of the United States entry duty on tartan, and a ratiocination of the formal method of tartan registry. Want to help us? Then, please join us, and enjoy the results in your pocketbook, as well as your hearts! |
